AMD Possibly Unveiled Next Generation Radeon HD 8000 Series at E3 2013

AMD might possibly be unveiling their next generation Radeon HD 8000 series next week at E3 2013. AMD has stated this on their official webpage that they would be making their way at E3 2013 to showcase their latest innovations including their next generation devices.

AMD is already talking about making better coolers for their reference design of the upcoming graphics card and we may get to see one of them at the E3 event. What is surprising is that the link provided at the official page re-directs back to the desktop AMD Radeon graphics page which confirms that the unveil would be related to a GPU We know that AMD is EA’s gaming partner and developer DICE would show off the first multiplayer action of their latest Battlefield 4 title at EA’s conference. At GDC 2013, AMD unveiled the Radeon HD 7990 which was later on revealed to be running the first single player gameplay “Fishing in Bakku” of Battlefield 4. This time, AMD may showcase their next-generation HD 8000 series card to display the first live multiplayer gameplay of DICE’s next generation title in the Battlefield franchise.

This may actually be the perfect time to showcase their Rdeon HD 8000 series since NVIDIA has already released the GeForce GTX 780 and GeForce GTX 770. AMD has nothing in their product stack to tackle the GeForce GTX 780 which comes near the $1000 Titan in performance. The Radeon HD 7990 may be the fastest card but its a dual chip card which is not comparable to a single chip GeForce GTX Titan or the GeForce GTX 780. So whether AMD would showcase their next generation of Radeon HD 8000 series graphics cards at E3 or demonstrate the next gen games with their current HD 7990 GPU, only time would tell.
