EA Unveils Next Generation Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Gameplay With 64 Player Battles – Whole Skyscraper Collapses


Electronic Arts showcased the first multiplayer trailer of the next-generation Battlefield 4 title in works by DICE (Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment).

Battlefield 4 Multiplayer Demo Is Next Generation Done Right

Since its reveal at GDC 2013, fans of the Battlefield franchise have been waiting to witness the first gameplay of the game set in the multiplayer section of the game since to most hardcore and older fans Battlefield is all about its mutliplayer. The Battlefield 4 multiplayer trailer showcases the power of the next generation devices which include the PC, Play Station 4 and Xbox One since these platforms would fully delver the graphical features of the next generation title. The game is also coming out on current generation platforms such as the Xbox 360 and PS3 which would however get slimmed down on these features but the core gameplay of the game would be kept intact.
For the Battlefield 4 multiplayer gameplay, DICE went all out by showing a live demonstration of over 64 actual players playing the game at the floor. The map was based in the map Shanghai which looks beautiful and huge. The map featured fully destructible environments and comes with fully intractable environments such as using a lift is now possible while playing multiplayer. The most amazing thing is that heavy artillery can take out complete buildings and skyscrapers down which is absolutely mind blowing.

Powering the multiplayer demo was DICE’s renowned Frostbite engine ‘Frostbite 3″ which features enhanced Tessellation effects, Dynamic Lighting, Dynamic Weather effects and after a long time fully destructible environments which much were loved in Battlefield: Bad Company series. Also, Commander mode returns back to the game with a single player taking the role of a commanding offices giving orders and goals to other players around him over Land, Air and Sea.
The Single player portion of the game has been shown off twice not, we saw the first reveal of “Fishing in Baku” at GDC 2013 and only recently saw the first unveil of “Angry Seas” Co-Op gameplay demo at the Microsoft’s E3 media briefing. The “Second Assault” DLC would be first available on Xbox One while the “Drone Strike” DLC would be available for those who pre-order the game. Battlefield 4 can be pre-ordered from Origin and would be available on October 29th officially for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
