Galaxy Tech Shows Off The GeForce GTX 780 HOF and GeForce GTX 770 SOC Equipped With White PCBs
Galaxy tech showed off their new GeForce GTX 780 HOF “Hall of Fame” and GeForce GTX 770 SOC “Super Overclock” edition graphics card
at Computex 2013. Both graphic cards from Galaxy are equipped with a
white colored non-reference PCB which come with factory overclocks.
Galaxy Prepares GeForce GTX 780 HOF and GTX 770 SOC Edition GPUs
The GeForce GTX 780 HOF “Hall of Fame” edition falls in Galaxy’s
flagship tier branding making use of NVIDIA’s latest GK110-300 A2 core
that features 2304 cores, 192 TMUs and 48 ROPs.
The card
features a 3 GB GDDR5 memory that operates along a 384-bit interface.
Clock speeds for both core and memory are not known at the moment but
its confirmed that the card would make use of a factory overclock. The GeForce GTX 780 HOF is supplied power through dual 8-Pin
connectors
while display outputs include Dual-DVI, HDMI, Display port. We can also
note a OC BIOS switch across the display ports which would probably
make the card run at higher clocks when pressed.
The GeForce GTX 780 HOF is a custom designed card with a white
colored PCB. Galaxy has been renowned for designing GPUs with a white
colored PCB. No specifics are mentioned about what kind of components
the PCB makes use of but
the cooler is a beast for sure. The cooler is three
expansion slots
wide and comes with a dual 92mm fan cooler which blows air towards a
large central aluminum fin array heatsink equipped with four pure copper
heatpipes.
The GeForce GTX 770 SOC “Super Overclock” also makes use of a
non-reference and white colored PCB and features a hefty three fan
cooler. The cooler has already been seen on previous GeForce GTX 680 SOC models
which were released a year ago. It comes with three mini HDMI ports and
a full length display port. The GPU is based off the GK104-425 A2
architecture that features 1536 cores, 128 TMUs and 32 ROPs. A second
GeForce GTX 780 Twin Fan GPU was also pictured which makes use of a
reference PCB but a non-reference dual fan cooler. Galaxy didn’t reveal
any pricing or release date for the cards.
