Samsung Galaxy S6 Will Come On March 2nd At Dedicated Event
After some disappointing news about the Samsung Galaxy S6 today, we have
more news for you, this time straight out of Korea. For all those
eagerly waiting to lay their eyes on Samsung’s next flagship, we’ve got
some good news for you today. The Korean media has some new reports
about the Samsung Galaxy S6, and this time it relates to the device’s
launch date.
Samsung Galaxy S6 To Be Debuted At Dedicated Unpacked Event At The Beginning Of MWC
According to the Koreans, Samsung will be holding a Galaxy S6 event
on March 2nd, that also marks the beginning of this year’s MWC in
Barcelona, Spain. The event at which the Samsung Galaxy S6 will make its
debut will be a dedicated, unpacked event held by Samsung, undoubtedly
alongside the sidelines of MWC. Sounds exciting and it also ends up
confirming several hunches that we already had about the Galaxy S6’s
launch this year. Given that HTC has nearly confirmed the HTC Hima’s
launch at MWC this year, it wouldn’t be a surprise for Samsung to follow
suit, as the Korean giant generally prefers to take the lead in such
matters.
A disappointing bit of news concerning flagships at the MWC this year
is LG’s seeming plans to not launch its flagship G4 phablet in March.
The manufacturer is choosing to ‘perfect out the smartphone’ and will
now most likely launch the device sometime in late spring, around May,
which is also the time when it launched the LG G3 last year. Samsung’s
also reported to have dropped the Snapdragon 810 on the Galaxy S6, after
prototype heating issues, related to the device’s metal back. Looks
like folks over in Korea are having troubles with metal on their
flagships. Stay tuned. We’ll keep you updated as this develops. Cheers.
