Samsung's Galaxy Mega phone to launch in Korea
Equipped with a 6.3-inch screen, the new Mega phone will roll out this week for Korean consumers.
The new Galaxy Mega smartphone will soon make its debut in Samsung's home base of South Korea.
Offering a 6.3-inch display, the new Mega will roll out this week, according to the Wall Street Journal. The phone is expected to cost almost 1,000,000 won ($895) without a contract and will be available across three Korean carriers -- SK Telecom, KT, and LG Uplus.
The 6.3-inch screen offers a resolution of 1,280x720. The phone itself is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and comes with 16GB of internal storage and 1.5GB of RAM. Equipped with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the Mega also supports 4G LTE. An 8-megapixel camera graces the back, while a 1.9-megapixel camera faces front.
The Mega is already being sold across Europe and Russia, the Journal noted.
