How To Install iOS 7 Beta Without UDID And Developer Account

Now that you’ve ascertained if your device is compatible with iOS 7, you may now be wondering how to install iOS 7 beta without UDID or a developers account. Apple releases beta firmware only for registered developers. Those developers have to register the UDID, a unique serial number, of their iOS devices. Only then are these devices capable of running beta firmware. The developer account costs $99 per year, so not everyone has such an account. Nevertheless, there is a way through which you can install iOS 7 beta without UDID.

Restoring beta firmware through an IPSW file is similar to how you would install a publicly released firmware through said file. However with beta firmware, Apple runs a check first to see if the device has its UDID registered. The check seems to have been taken down now, and has been confirmed by multiple sources to be working at this point in time. This method works on all devices that support iOS 7. Before you can begin, you’ll need to download iOS 7 beta 1 IPSW file for your particular device.

How To Install iOS 7 Beta Without UDID And A Registered Developer Account:

Step 1: Get the IPSW file of iOS 7 beta 1 for your device

Step 2: Connect your device to the computer and launch iTunes. Select it from the list

Step 3: If you’re on Windows, press and hold Shift key. If on Mac, press and hold the Option/Alt key and click on Restore iPhone

Step 4: Now select the iOS 7 beta 1 IPSW file downloaded previously and click on Restore.
Now all you need to do is sit back, relax and watch iTunes do its thing. iTunes will run a check to see if you’re not trying to install iOS 7 beta without UDID or developer account, but the update process will complete without any hiccups. Once it is done with restoring your device on iOS 7, the device will reboot and you will be prompted that the restore process has been successfully. If you don’t end up liking iOS 7 and want to revert back to old firmware, we already have a full guide posted on how to downgrade iOS 7 to iOS 6 on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
There you have it. An easy method to install iOS 7 beta without UDID registration. Do keep in mind though that beta firmware is meant only for developers. We don’t encourage its installation or download through various third party sources. Beta firmware is only released for registered developers through the Developers Portal.
